Course Aim

This course is designed for all personnel who may risk exposure to hydrogen sulphide.

Course Objectives

During the course participants will gain a basic level of understanding and awareness of the dangers of Hydrogen Sulphide, methods of detecting and self rescue techniques.

·         Composition and Structure of H2S

·         Understand and accept Procedures relating to "Working in a Hydrogen Sulphide Area"

·         Physical and Chemical Properties Upper and Lower Exposure Limit

·         How does H2S Effect the Individual

·         Gas detection and Monitoring Equipment

·         The value of H2S gas monitoring equipment

·         Protection Equipment

·         Types of Escape Sets and Rescue Equipment

·         Rescue Techniques and Procedures

CONFINED SPACE ENTRY

Confined Space Entry  Awareness

Course Aim

This course is designed for all personnel who are involved in entering or supervising the entry of confined space activities.

Course Objectives

During the course participants will gain a basic level of understanding on the legislative, company requirements, recognizing hazards and gases, pre-entry requirements and safe working code of practices.
