BASIC FIRST AID
Course Aim:
To provide participants with the knowledge and practice of the medical first aid required by first respondents.

Course Objectives:
By the end of the three day course participants will be able to describe and demonstrate: 

  • Basic life support ‑ EAR ‑ CPR 
  • Bleeding control
  • Burns
  • Breaks
  • Site approach
  • Casualty assessment
  • Stabilization
  • Transportation requirements
  • First aid kits

Competency  :
Assessment of the participants competency is assessed by either a practical or by a written and or oral test.

Venue Required  :
Lecture room environment with access to an outdoor training venue.

Method Of Training  :
This course is conducted at a venue, which will be suitable for the theory and practical instruction of all participants and will include the provision of catering, visual teaching aids and writing materials.

Equipment  :
The provision of first aid training equipment is dependent on the consultation between the company and the training provider.

BASIC FIRE FIGHTING

Course Aim  :

To equip trainees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to ensure an appropriate response to a fire emergency, and to ensure the proper use and knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures to enhance their survival in a fire emergency.

Course Objectives  :

At the end of the one day programme, participants will have an understanding and a thorough
knowledge of the following;

  • Fire causes basic fire chemistry.
  • Use of portable firefighting equipment.
  • Prevention of fire.  
  • Escape from a fire environment


Competency  :
 All participants must demonstrate the ability to use portable fire fighting appliances to fight fire, and complete a questionnaire in order to pass the course.

Method Of Training  :
Initial classroom sessions to cover fire chemistry and emergency equipment. Practical training portable fire fighting usage, and smoke escape procedures.

HELICOPTER UNDERWATER ESCAPE TRAINING ( H.U.E.T)


HELICOPTER UNDERWATER ESCAPE TRAINING (HUET)

Course Aim  :
To provide passengers and aircrew with the knowledge and skills necessary to react to and survive a helicopter ditching. To be able to care for themselves in a sea survival situation.

Course Objectives  :
By the end of 1 day ditching course, participants should have knowledge of :
·  Helicopter Safety
·  Aircraft emergencies
·  Ditching Procedures and Drills
·  Liferaft and Lifejacket Drills and Procedures
·  EPIRBS & Pyrotechnics
·  Basic Sea Survival Drills & Rescue Procedures

Competency  :

All participants must complete at least 3 unassisted escapes from the helicopter module & complete a questioner in order to pass the course.

Outline  :

·  This course meets industry requirement familiarsation and training in helicopter emergency procedures and the use of emergecy equipment. The cover :
·  Surface Abandonment
·  Pre ditching checks
·  Ditching ‑ aircraft capsize
·  Lifejackets
·  Liferafts
·  EPIRB's & ELT's
·  Safe used of pyrotechnique
·  Search & Rescue (SAR)
·  Recovery
·  Sea Survival

Method Of Training  :

We can conduct this course ON‑SITE anywhere utilizing a hotel swimming pool or similar (min.depth requirement 1.8 meters).







SEA SURVIVAL COURSE


SEA SURVIVAL & OFFSHORE SAFETY PROCEDURES

Course Aim  :

To provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to assist in their survival in the event of an emergency offshore with the proper use of available emergency equipment.

Course Objectives  :

By the end of the one day programmed, participants will have an understanding and a thorough knowledge of the following :
·  Launch and inflate a life raft.
·  Re‑right and board a life raft unassisted.
·  Life raft management techniques.    
·  Life raft emergency equipment and usage.
·  Basic injury management.
·  Basic survival techniques in open water   

 

Competency  :

All participants must demonstrate the ability to re‑right a life raft unassisted, and complete a questionnaire in order to pass the course.

Method Of Training  :

This course is conducted in two phases. Initial phase is a half day theory course covering all aspects of the life raft and survival at sea. This classroom training utilizes demonstrations of all equipment and discussion on the uses and method of use of the emergency equipment, and Projector presentation to assist.

The second phase is an entirely practical training section conducted in a water environment, where all participants are required to practice and demonstrate the application of all techniques learned in both sessions.
